Hello FUBARians,
How the heck is everyone this mid 3rd quarter of 2011! As promised
we're doing our best to keep you up to date on all the Cyber Kid events,
News and going's on! Boy has it been a busy four months since we last
reported!!! So without keeping you in suspense we'll just dive right
in!!!
|
We left you last Spring with a few open stories; first and foremost,
Alex's (aka Little Dude's) rookie season! Having established
himself early in the season as a solid prospect, his coaches decided
to play the Little Monkey at third base (just like his FUBAR Hall of
Fame dad!) Fighting hard as an underdog from the beginning of
the season, the Sand Gnats fought hard against tough opponents!
Facing off against the Red Sox, Giants, Bombers and Braves; the
Gnats finished the season 6 and 2 putting them solidly into the
Playoffs. They played the first round (Game 9) against the
Bombers. Little Dude went 1/2 w/ a RUN along with stellar
defense at the hot corner in the Gnats victory.
Moving on to the Championship pitted the Gnats against their nemesis
the Giants - the only team to defeat the Gnats in regular season
play. Putting up solid numbers with top notch hitting on both
sides made for a high scoring game as both sides couldn't find the
groove to keep each other at bay. In the end, the Gnats weould
close out the season in 2nd place in a 23-18 loss. Little Dude
played solid defense at third along with a 2/3 w/ 1 RUN 1 RBI at the
plate.
During the end of the season ceremony Little Dude's coach said, "You
know some kids come out here to have fun but not Alex! He's out
here to win boy! To him baseball is more - it's in his blood!"
(For the record, the Cyber Kid was NOT tearing up. There must
have been onions nearby?! :o) |

In other pending news, the Cyber Kid made his way onto the small
screen (in other words YouTube) this past quarter! This
time however, the Kid was not on the directing/editing side as has
been the usual case with the YouTube montages of Little Dude and
Rabbit featured on the FUBARHQ channel. No, this time the
Cyber Kid, along with the D-Mobile III (aka "The Beast") was a
featured extra "Officer Handlebar" in the Season 2, Episode 1
premiere of the break-out web hit
The Variants!
The Variants follows the zany adventures of comic shop proprietor,
Richard and his loyal band of store employees, Barry, Kelli, Joe and
the elusive Vlad as the (mostly) quartet find themselves in the most
precarious of situations.
"There was always threats of working me, and The Beast, into an
episode on the show and when scripting called for an officer for the
Season 2 opener; I was offered the part! It was pretty cool!"
So on an overcast, damp, chilly day, the Cyber Kid's acting debut
was realized.

Despite the tight schedules and trying to help the FUBAR
organization scout for future prospects (namely Little Dude) the
Cyber Kid was able to find time to head into Central Florida for
some routine "housecleaning!" Meeting up with members of the
FUBAR Upper Management, the Cyber Kid was able to discuss the future
plans for the Mega-Pire!
"Yup.
Just left a fairly un-productive meeting with the Kid - typical;
but, we did lock down some new strategies and ideas for the
organization. Once in a while you have to set aside your
differences and just roll with it! I mean come on we all know
the guy, even with the major switch to decaf, he's still goin' like
1000 miles an hour!" Mark Avocado told reporters at the site of the
meeting! When asked if he any more to say, Mark added -"Sure!
Buy gold and stockpile weapons! The FUBARS are coming you
know!?"
When the Cyber Kid was finally tracked down back in the Central US
and asked about the details of the meeting with FUBAR Championship
pitcher and Hall of Famer Mark Avo, he was quoted as saying, "Well
talks got heated at times but Mark sees my point of view.
There's major changes coming to the FUBAR organization and it's
Upper Management structure. It's a necessary evil but, if we
plan to take this Mega-Pire into the 2nd decade of the 21st century,
it's time we make changes!" When asked if one of the changes
would be his resignation from the organization al he added was;
"What! No F****** Way!" After which he reportedly
grabbed a random pedestrian and repeatedly the reporter of such a
stupid question! Stay tuned to this developing story! |

The Cyber
Kid and Armadillo comin' at ya! |
In FUBAR Automotive News - The FUBAR Upper Management in conjunction
with the FUBAR Automotive Division (FAD) just had the finishing touches
put on the Cyber Kid's vehicle. Known simply as "The Beast" the
D-Mobile III was retrofitted with a brand new custom built Long block
V-8 350. Complete w/ Headers, 4 barrel carburetor and a new
performance transmission to tie it all in, "The Beast" traded out a 160
HP V-8 2 barrrel block w/ 150,000 miles for approximately 350 HP!
Needless to say the dues money came in real handy - thanks gang, the
FUBAR HQ appreciates your generosity!?...

with the New! |
In other news,
seeing as how the Cyber Kid has his main HQ in Central Texas AND seeing
as how he hangs out at an establishment with the word "Redneck" in it;
The FHQ marketing thought they would try a variation of the "VOTE FOR
DAVE, GET FREE WINGS!" campaign posters and instead use a slogan
that might appeal to the the more "outdoors" type!?...
