Hello 2012 – The year the chain comes off the sprocket… apparently?! Hope 2011 rounded out nicely for you? Over at camp Cyber Kid, unfortunately, we had a set-back when the Matriarch of our organization “Ma” had a sudden, massive and what would classify as a tragic hemorrhagic stroke at the end of September. Traveling to Clearwater, FL the Cyber Kid and family faced an uncertain outcome as emergency brain surgery was performed to save her life but required removal of a portion of her right frontal lobe… But, they say you “can’t keep the good ones down?” Well, after 22 days in the Critical Care Unit and 66 more days in a Rehab facility, Ma flipped the proverbial finger to the whole affair when she walked back into her home. Three and a half months past the event and she’s doing remarkably well in what her brain surgeon can only describe as a “miraculous recovery!” You’d never know she had a stroke! Still with some mental recovery to “fine tune” her brain on chronological events, she has full motor function, intact long term and most short term memories and is eager to get back to driving and work!? Wow! Of course during the 70+ days of recovery, Darth M had to make his way over to Clearwater on many occasion to help w/ finances, medical paperwork, and taking care of her personal affairs. This of course cut deeply into flying, resulting in just a trip or two flown a month while supervising the process. Support of family, friends and many others was much welcome and made this process as “smooth as it could have been!?” (Particularly from Little Dudicus and Rabbit who were so very understanding, patient and concerned!?)

	Meanwhile back in Tejas and moving towards November saw another Star Wars fan days. Dressed as Lord “mini” Vader, Little Dude was a huge hit as many thought he looked just like the kid from the VW commercial. Jessica Rabbit even got in on the action this year dressing as an Imperial Clone Trooper. The kids were available on Saturday only and were (sort of) willing to take pictures with anyone who wanted one! The Cyber Kid was able to meet George Takei (aka Mr. Sulu) from Star Trek fame and get the final available autograph to complete his crew autograph picture! 20 years in the making and featuring 6 of the 8 original cast, it’s a pretty cool piece! Later in November saw the (mostly) annual British invasion over Turkey Day! A quiet day w/ the Cyber Kid’s world famous Roast Turkey was enjoyed by all in attendance (which included Mr. Charles B.!) After which the chaos began as the shopping extravaganza of known as “Black Friday” officially opened at 10pm Thanksgiving! With a team of “well-trained” Doorbuster Elite’s the Cyber Kid had no less than three teams in place when the sales started. The result was yet another “magical” Sale event, acquiring ALL of the desired items! Thanks to Mr. Dennis, his apprentices and the British Special Shopping Forces (aka the “in-laws!”) for making the evening a success!

So with Fan Days completed, more trips to Clearwater, FL culminated in a drive by the (entire) Cyber Kid clan to visit with Ma who was home mid/late Dec. (Awesome!) In addition to the visit w/ Ma which included a Pirate Ship Sunset Cruise, Beach Time, Family Time and Christmas was the annual visit w/ the Armadillos… Complete w/ a fresh litter of NINE (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9!) Cane Corso puppies, the house was more than awash in puppy love! A few days distraction to visit w/ Mickey & Friends was welcome by the Dude and Rabbit and a new adventure to Universal Studios, FL saw the kids ride JAWS with just two days before it was to be dismantled :o( Smile you son of a … :o) (All the pics are in the Alex & Jessica Albums!) New Years Eve w/ the Armadillos, New Years day w/ Ma and a subsequent two days driving put the gang back into Tejas w/ 24 hours before school & work would be standard operating procedure again! That rounded out 2011 and let the gang have a nice diversion prior to a new 2012… the year it comes unglued – supposedly!?...

Just in case you still don't have this memorized (YET)!?...

Since I left you last I was entertaining a major coffee habit but two years ago I was able (in about 4 days actually) to go from 5-6 cups a day to one! While I do still drink 5-6 cups of "coffee" a day only one of them now actually is caffeinated! So, with this I felt I needed to update my four cups list! -

There are four cups of coffee consumed in the morning. Each cup is named/labeled by the emotional state that it facilitates in the drinker. The four cups are labeled as follows -

1. :oI - The "Up" Cup (Decaf/Optional 1/2 Caff.); to wake you... as the smooth aroma entices you and the silky taste prepares you for -

2. :o) - The "Happy" Cup (The FULL One w/ Caffeine!); as the neurons start to fire and the body kicks to life, shifting into "high" gear, a sense of well-being overcomes...

3. :o[ - The "Angry" Cup; (Decaf) "well-being" is cast aside as the desire to choke the living daylights out of a random stranger for all the problems in the world ensues... plus you no longer get the rush from the caffeine so that pretty much bums you out...

4. :o\ - The "Motivation" Cup (Decaf/Optional 1/2 Caff. cup); after realizing that violence isn't (necessarily) the answer and the fact that you've been sitting at the coffee shop for a few hours, this cup "snaps" you back to the reality that you actually have "stuff" to do and so, with this refill... you leave... and either get some stuff done (if you went with the Caf) or crash on the couch (with the Decaf option!)

There you have it... Now go grab a cup of mud and indulge a bit...
