So back in the end of October, the FUBARS descended yet again upon
Daytona Beach for the 2006 Annual FUBAR Reunion. FUBAR Hall of
Famers Jeff "E" Engel, Chris "Cy Young" Roth, CEO/Founder Dave "Darth" M
was in attendance as was Mark "Captain" Armadillo. Mass quantities
of Food, Fun, Reminiscing and BEvERages were consumed by all.
"It's always great to see everybody." said Roth about the event.
"I had a good time what with all the shooting and stuff!" said
Engel. "Man I'm getting too old for all this crap!" said
Armadillo. "Good times." said The Cyber Kid, although he did
have to remind a few people; "That the role of the coach is not to win
popularity but to win games and the role of the Captain is to set the
example for the team. You live or die on the field based on that!"
Other than that, the trip was a success, Outside the Cube and
FUBARHQ.com brought a "Concept" game to play called Where They Fall.
Notes were taken during play and game-play was a success. Mark
"The Strategist" Avocado of course "...beating Dave at his own game...
how sweet is that?" he was quoted as saying. "Look I made the game
to allow anyone to win, even I can lose sometimes" The Cyber Kid said
before he went off to sulk and cry alone! Other than that, the
following words can describe the reunion - BEvERages, Poker, Pumpkins,
Mummies, Apples, Beach, Reggae, Games, Guns, Sushi, Shopping,
Networking, Picture-Taking, Debates, Bulls, Lattes, Ribs, Coils,
"Spiderman", all around Debauchery, Shenanigans, Tomfoolery and of
course Hooters! "Everything you need for a 4 day party!"
Engel was quoted as saying.

Anyway, in other news in DARTH M land. The Cyber Kid
attended Wizard World Texas last month. Met an immense
amount of talent from the comic book industry, many of whom were
the reason I got back into collecting (Marc Silvestri, Michael
Turner, Bill Sienkiewicz, Greg Horn, J. Scott Campbell, Angel
Medina, Billy Tan, David Finch and others.) I only got a
few pics however and seen here is the Cyber Kid with Angel
Medina who had a 48 issue run penciling on the comic SPAWN (the
book that got me back into comics!) and is now at MARVEL comics
penciling one of their SPIDERMAN titles.
In
book news as well, you saw the FUBARHQ was going to release some
books for FUBAR fans, well over at the Cyber Kid House, Upper
management has decided to jump on that train as well and release
content specific for fans of the Cyber Kid. So again, with
the help of the FUBARHQ, the following books will be released
shortly for that DARTH M fan in all of us ... |

So other than all that stuff, I finished another successful campaign for
the CSBF chasing research balloons. By the way if you missed it,
the Cyber Kid (and his flying) was featured (very minor) on a
documentary called "SPACE BALLOONS 120,000 Feet Above Earth" that aired
on the SCIENCE Channel. Perhaps you can find a re-run?
In website news, I added a few more pics to MY
AVIATION ADVENTURES page and the "Cool" factor
has again been multiplied with the update of
the Cyber Kid's MySpace
page (I have 20+ friends
now! (Up from 6 just a quarter ago! And I
actually know most of them!) Go check it out, register for you're own

Oh, btw, the Cyber Kid ran into a secret operative while in an
undisclosed location in central Florida where he acquired the
priceless artifact known as the "Coil of Titanium." There was
much debate over whether it was in fact the actual item but
nonetheless, a ceremony was held and seen here is the Cyber Kid
being dubbed, "The Keeper of the Coil." The Coil was passed on
from the previous Keeper who preferred to be unidentified due to
international and worldwide warrants. Keeping in line with
last quarters negotiations and the NEWS over at the FUBARHQ, this
acquisition will help to defend the FUBAR Empire and solidify the
FUBAR position that they do in fact "own everything!" (or again,
soon will!?) So don't forget to adjust those envelopes and send
those tax checks to the Cyber Kid - Remember, there's one "B" in
Cyber Kid. Thank you for your support!?... |
